1- Know who you are (what is your personality)

By knowing your personality well, you can know what jobs or field might be suitable for you. It is advisable to analyze the personality at an early stage before obtaining the certificate or diploma because this contributes to a careful choice of what the student will study or what jobs are appropriate for him according to the results obtained. The most test known  is the MBTI Personality Analysis Test and is freely available in many websites.

2- Narrow your search area

Narrowing the search area

If you start throwing your CV here and there and apply wherever you find a vacant position, you will be frustrated with the frequent rejection and you will face the problem of mixing matters; you will not be restricted to your career goal and will come up in the world of job search without obtaining a tangible result.

What you should do is narrow your search:

First you must know:
  • What are the suitable jobs for you?
  • What are the field in which these jobs are (industrial, service, etc.)?
  • What are the specifications of the company that should be suited you as a worker.
After selecting the previous three elements, you will have a initial illustration of your career goal, here you have started to narrow your search:
  • Search for companies that have the possibility of employment according to the job (or jobs) that you previously selected.
  • Experts recommend identifying only three companies. In my opinion, this is not enough in light of the circumstances we live nowadays.
  • Prepare a table in which you write the name of the company, its contact info (address, mail, phone. career page ...), the position applied to and the date of progress. What will you gain from this process ?: First, avoid repeating progress to the job. If you repeat the progress, your name will be in the unwanted list (annoying list or spam or block list) and the second benefit is that you will date what you do and avoid mistakes you made in the past.
  • Try to start with the closest and most distant, Do not throw yourself away to find your nearest opportunity has escaped from your hand. Start your journey from the vicinity of your neighborhood and ask your friends and your family, if you do not find it do not expand your search, Specify another area to search so that you do not fall into the trap of lost and distracted again.

3- Learn new skills

More skills more chance

Your academic qualifications and skills today are not enough because employers ask for skills more and more, and the professional conditions are increasing in some areas. Some fields may require other specializations such as the field of industrial robots that requires some of the programming skills, mechanics, electricity and some of the mathematics ....
Over time your skills will lose their luster and hiring experts will easily notice it. Don't just wait for opportunities, improve yourself by learning new skills or refining your skills.

Learning skills related to your qualifications is a good factor in enhancing your chances, as employers will see that spark in you.
Employers do not tend to employ people who did not work, stop studying, or have completed it for a long time because they believe that this person's skills and knowledge have been worn out, meaning that this candidate's skill has been forgotten or lost.
Soft skills are very important so be sure to learn some of them, and you will reap their benefits even in your personal life.

4- Learn how to write a successful resume and cover letter

resume and cover letter

A resume or call it a "Professional Summary" is a brief of your work and study . It usually consists of one to two pages and it is advised not to exceed one page ... (We will detail the resume subject later)
A common mistake is to write a one
resume for all job applications. The truth is that writing a resume is appropriate only for that job and one employer and the current circumstance.
A unified
resume or cover letter often will not work because the employer will only spend less than thirty seconds reading your resume and if you are unsuccessful in attracting his interest it would be thrown into the trash. Resume and cover letter are marketing of your skills and services (not for yourself) that your employer needs. You have to pay great attention to them, so you should learn to write them professionally.
There are many free websites that provide tutorials and articles on how to write a
resume and motivation letter. Some of them provide a free evaluation of your CV. (see links below)

5- DO Networking

personal networking
The networking process is about building a network of acquaintances and friends, but with a certain method that will lead you to your goal.
As we mentioned in other post, most recruitment processes are done through their
acquaintances (more than 80%), so it is imperative that you build your own network:
Try to approach friends and relatives and ask them to help you in your job search.
Try to approach employers and recruiting officials, executives, department heads, and employees of the company. Gaining their confidence is an important factor, search for them on social networks and contact them (don't request employment directly). Sometimes they rely on social platforms to post vacancies.
There is an inescapable fact that you will try to make friends that you will be given more than a handler; you will give and serve friends more than they give you and serve you; that is, you will earn a little for a lot.
